HEALTH.
Bohol is well served by hospitals there being 26 registered hospitals in the Bohol Region. These are a mixture of private and goverment run , and from our research the general oinion seems to be that the standard is quite good. Although for any major surgery and treatment , Cebu and Manilla seems to be the Hospitals of choice. Cebu is only a a couple of hours away . Less to Manilla by air.
There are also the usual doctors and clinics available.
There are no particluar precautions to take only the same measures that are listed in the Home and Manilla pages in the keep safe and well section.
SAFTEY
Bohol has a reputation for being a safe area to visit and live and no reports to us to the contaray have been recieved to date. As above , just check out the Home and Manila pages ( keep safe and well section) for general advice that applies to Bohol and any area you visit in the Philippines.
