Bohol Nightlife , Bars, Clubs, Dining and Other Entertainments
BOHOL BARS and CLUBS
Tagbilaran which is the capital city of Bohol is the busiest area but even here you will not find the type of nightlife that you will find in Manila, Angeles, Cebu or Subic Bay.
There are a few venues that have been mentioned to us as being worth a visit but apart from a few coffee type bars and a small number of bars linked to large hotels there seems little in the way of nightclubs etc.Certainly no girlie bars as in Angeles.
Names that have been given to us as being great atmosphere and great sound and light systems are Atmosphere Bar at the Metro Centre Hotel and the Lazer Party Club at Bohol Tropics.
San Jose Pension House is known for its Bossa Nova and Jazz nights if you are into that kind of thing.
Oops Bar on Alona Beach ,also comes recommended for its ambience, food and live music.
The Alona Palm Beach Resort also has entertainment in the evenings.
DINING OUT
Helmuts Place is well know for its steaks , Italian food, and good music.
A number of others seem well worth trying ,these are Cion Virge Cafe and Restaurant in the Airport Compound. The Pyramid on the waterfront at Alona Beach with great views while you enjoy good food.
Hayahay Pizza which is top end for prices but recommended and you could always support the eco- tourism aspect by visiting the Bee Farm Guest House which offers nice meals as well as accomodation and in a learning envirment.
OTHER EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
For other ways to pass the time away in the evening you will have to be in Tagbilaran where they have a few Malls with Cinema etc
From time to time you will learn of cultural shows , Fiesta's and special events at some hotels so keeping an eye on local press and notices as well as speaking to you hotel front desk is the best thing to do
Many visitors who travel to Bohol , travel for the diving and water sports, whale and dolphin watching, fishing and of course diving.
The Island tour that takes in Loboc river, Museams, Blood Compact Site etc are very popular , but these are a daytime activity
