Nightlife in Subic Bay, Philippines
Over the past few years Nightlife in Subic Bay and the surrounding areas, has become a competitor to the Angeles City Nightlife, although it has some way to go yet to attract the same about of bars, clubs and visitors that come with them.
Nevertheless Subic Bay is a thriving area and has many bars and clubs in addition to restaurants and hotels to keep you entertained during the evenings.

BALOY LONG BEACH
Here you find many of the hotels and each has its own bar .Some face onto the beach area , others like Harleys Resort face the sea but only have a small beach area as such. Harley's and others are the first you come to as you turn off the main highway onto the road that takes you to the main beach. Many show live sports, and many are well known for thier food. . Many have nice areas to sit , have a meal and drink while you look over the Bay and watch the Sunset.
Further along the road as you arrive at the beach you will come to the Blue Rock Resort which gets very busy and they are well known for thir Barbecue Menu in the evenings. They also have a floating bar just offshore to enjoy a drink and swim if its too hot.
There are many hotels with bars to choose from on Baloy beach, none of the 'Girlie Bars' but still fun and are popular with expats, playing pool or darts and watching sport.
NATIONAL HIGHWAY AREA
This area has many bars and are mostly situated at the top end before you make the turn to Baloy Beach. You can can a trike here easy from Baloy Beach or walk in about 10 minutes.
There are a number of Girlie or Bikini Bars here and most are quite closley grouped togther so its ok for a small 'Bar Hop'. Most of the bars are small , but if its girls in Bikinis and some female company you are after then this is the place to come.
There are a niumber of Hotels and Resorts along the Highway if you want to stay cloer to the action regarding that type of bar.
DOWNTOWN OLONGOPO AND MAGASAYSAY AREAS
These ares are a favourite with the Filipino Tourist but do get a few Western tourists from time to time.
This is where you will find many live music venues. and discos. Olongapo was regarded as THE place for Bands and Musicians during the time that Subic was the biggest US Naval Base outside USA until 1992, but still maintains a popular following for live music.
Venues such as Subic Hard Rock Cafe, have live music every night. Cal Jam is a popular disco with live bands. Willies is a famous celebrity haunt and Gigalo's is another popular Disco.
SUBIC BASE AREA
The venies on base along the waterfront and buiness district
tend to be a little more upmarket and bigger. Many have live music
Neptunes has live music every weekend,
Sams Pizza Restaurant, and Pier One at Moonbay Marina are known to be the best venues in the area for live bands. Sams Pizza also has a childrens room.
OTHER THINGS TO DO AT NIGHT
There are Cinemas at Times Square Cinemas and the Subic Arts Centre for cutural , ethnic and arts based entertainment.
The choice of restaurants and cafe bars is vast either in the Free Port Zone , in the City Centre or up on the Baloy beach road. Chinese , Filippino , Barbeque , and fast food such as Mcdonalds or Jolibee and everthing in between is available until late..
Shows and concerts are also put on at the Boardwalk on the Waterfront located inside the Subic Base Area.
