Getting Around BORACAY
Boracay is only a tiny island so most people get around by Motor - tricycle (Trike) or boat. There are a few small vans with seats in the back, but these are mainly operated by some of the resorts to ferry their guests back and forwards to the beach and port to catch the ferries. The main road through the beach area is only natrrow and quite busy as its lined by shops and local traders. Any large vehicle or taxis would soon jam up the works .
You can sail around the island in a few hours in a Banca. A trip well worth doing.
There is no airport on the island ,so Bancas are used to ferry you from Caticlan Ferry Terminal to the main ferry port on Boracay.
When you arrive at the ferry port in Boracay, and if you havent booked with a hotel to escort you to your accommodation, then there are usually many trikes and small vans available for hire to take you to your hotel or resort.
Motorcycle Hire.
It is possible to hire a motorcycle for a day or week in Boracay and its a good way to see the island..
Walking
As its a very small island with very little crime, it is usually very safe to walk during the day or night.
You can walk from White Beach side of the Island to the other coast in only 7 minutes .
