How To Get To CEBU

Cebu has a modern international airport ( Mactan International) and a bustling port so there are various ways to get there.

International flights travel to and arrive from many countries , and it is possble to book with the same carrier to arrive at Cebu. It will mean catching a connecting flight in such places as Hong Kong , Singapore , Dubai , Abu Dhabi , Kuala Lumpar etc etc.

Cebu airport is a much easier option than travelling through Ninoy Aquino Airport Manilla. because its less busy , traffic is usually less when travelling to and from the airport , and its just a more relaxed atmosphere if there can be such a thing at any airport.

Obviously Cebu doesnt have as many flights as Manila, so it may be neccessary to use Manilla for some destinations. Flying time from Manila to Cebu is approximatley 1 hour. From Hong Kong just less than 3 hours.

LIke Manilla, Cebu also has a Domestic Terminal for flights around the islands. Most island destinations that have an airport are serviced by Cebu , although NOT ALL.

As with ALL airports in the Philippines you will be required to pay an airport tax when leaving . This is payable IN CASH after check in and before the departure lounge and can range from 150 pesos to 550 pesos depending which airport you are using.

FERRIES -

Some of the islands that you will want to visit will not have an airport, so you will have to travel via Ferry . From Cebu you can catch all the different types of ferry mentioned on our GETTING THERE MAIN PAGE. It might be neccessary to make a couple of connections in order to get to your final destination , but it will be cheaper and an experiance. Contact Your Philippines for advice.
