MAKING CONTACT
There are a number of ways to make that initial contact ,of which the internet is probably the most common. This method, especially if meeting in chat rooms, is fraught with danger to the lonely or inexperienced. Firstly let me say that there are many many nice honest and available Philippine girls just looking to meet a nice man, but this is not true of a small but significant number of girls in chat rooms or on dating sites. It doesn’t mean you are a fool or stupid if you fall for a girl that latches onto you in the chat rooms , many ARE experts, and a minority actually make a living out of meeting men in the chat rooms and, shortly after, obtaining money for many diverse but none the less bogus reasons.
The type of scams that take in many foreigners are as follows:- ( this list is by no means exhaustive so always when in chat rooms remember ,CHATTER BEWARE, and you wont go far wrong)

1. Girls asking for money– medical bills ( maybe for family or herself)
- schooling ( many girls , even in their 20’s will be at college or at least they tell YOU they are, and they need money for exam fees, books etc).
- computers or mobile phones or even load (credit) so that ‘I will be able to chat to you more often’
-money for accommodation, travel etc if you decide that you are going to visit her and she tells you she can book or arrange cheaper.
2. Girls that might have boyfriends/husbands allowing the girl to chat to foreigners and encouraging them to ask for money and even meet you when you come to Philippines. No matter how great they seem while you are there , as soon as you leave (having left her with some money) its been known that the girl then meets the next fella. 3 .Some families and friends of the girl may be in on any scam she might be hatching, so don’t be always taken in by Mothers , Fathers , or best friends backing up your girls story. Also be aware that some ladies will want to meet a westerner simply to get away from the Philippines because of the lack of work/ money/future prospects and they will do anything to get a visa and sponsor to facilitate her getting to the U.S.A, Britain Australia etc etc. That includes marriage. This does not mean that she is automatically a bad person, just realistic , practical, and willing to move away from her home family and friends to get herself a better standard of living and help her family from abroad by sending money home. Its the Philippine culture to help support the family. Some men can live with that, others can’t, that’s each mans choice.
You can use these points I have mentioned above, even if you are meeting the girl face to face and not on the internet.
DATING SITES
This is a slightly more reliable way to met ladies although caution must always be taken and the points above still considered . Eventually you will be talking to her online so CHATTER BEWARE. MEETING IN PERSON
If you go to the Philippines without having already met the girl of your dreams on the internet, you have no need to worry about not meeting anyone while you are there. Foreigners are much sort after by ladies there, so they will find you. All you need to do is make yourself as ‘available’ as you can. If you are only interested in a fun time, the bars, discos etc are a good place to start your search. If you are looking to meet a lady for a more meaningful relationship with a significantly higher percentage chance of success, then visit the malls spending time to look, smile and look interested. Carry your Mobile number already written on small cards with you name . If you see a girl in a café or store and you feel you would like to meet her . Just say hello and give her your card and ask her to text or call you. Texting is a way of life for most Filippino girls, they text almost as often as they take a breath. If they are even only the slightest bit interested in you they will text you for sure.
Visit museums, churches, cafes near to office building ( girls might be there during their breaks . If they have jobs it’s a good start.
Look for ladies that are working in department stores, cafes and hotels etc for the same reason. Again the phone number on a card system is a good idea , because if they are working they wont have time to chat to you.
Philippine girls can be amongst the most loving, attentive, caring, and sexy in the world and I know many men that are very very happy with their Philippine bride. Don’t let all the horror stories put you off . Age is not an issue with most Philippine girls and its not unusual for girls to have foreign boyfriend/husbands 30years older than themselves They believe that an older man is more settled financially, more experienced in life, and less likely to stray and be unfaithful as long as they are shown attention and looked after which is a Philippine way of life so easy for most girls to commit to.
Some girls in the Philippines can be very contradictory in relation to the way they can look, their religious beliefs and the way they can act. You might meet a girl that is very sexily dressed (to our western eyes) but inwardly is very shy and totally obedient to her family which can create conflicts as to what you can expect from her regarding staying with you overnight, living with you without marriage etc. Other girls might be very plainly dressed but be very open minded and independent of her family regarding her relationship with you. You need to take time to assess what type of girl she is. Don’t jump to conclusions , and be understanding to the Philippine culture, research what that is , and try to take time to achieve your goals. Don’t try to BUY her affection , it will end in tears, and from day one decide what you are prepared to compromise on regarding the differences in eastern and western cultures. Tell her and if necessary her family, and stick to it. With YOUR money and the distribution of it , at the top of the list.
