General Info about MANILA

Manila is the capital city of the Philippines , and although a modern and bustling city , it has just been voted the 3rd cheapest place to live of the worlds capital cities. It is situated in the Luzon region, which is the northern most region of the Philippines , and is reached by plane in approximately 2 hours from Hong Kong , 3 ½ hours from Singapore, and 16 hours from Manchester UK, including 3 hour stopover at Dubai, (other routes are also available, (see Getting There page.)
Manila is serviced by all the major international airlines as well as domestic carriers for onward travel to the many Philippine Islands.

A bustling and diverse city , Manilla has many top class hotels as well as budget accommodation. With a vibrant nightlife and many cultural and historic sights to see, boredom will not be an issue with anyone visiting this thriving metropolis.

From the modern business district of Makati , the many museums and churches to the shopping malls including the impressive and magnificent Mall of Asia , and the entertainment area of Roxas Boulevard , there is something for every traveller.

Eating is a favourite pastime of the Filippino, and this shows in the diverse offering of culinary delights on offer at some top class restaurants.
