The Whale shark is undergoing a protection and study regime by THE WHALE SHARK PROJECT which has been developed by the Shark Trust in collaboration with Project Aware Foundation which was founded by PADI ( Professional Association of Diving Instructors). This encourages divers to log and report sightings of the Whale Shark . It also has a code of practice that asks divers to respect the space of a Whale Shark and not to interact too closely as to effect its behaviour.
Blast fishing using dynamite has been outlawed in order to preserve stocks of fish and protect the coral reefs.

On the land , pollution, poor farming practices, and illegal logging has taken its toll on the eco – system over the years. The Worlds smallest hoofed animal is the Philippine Mouse Dear or its correct name of the PILANDOK. It measures only 30 centimetres to its shoulder and has a pig like snout. It doesn’t have antlers like most dear. It protects itself with its tusk like teeth. It is so small that its legs are the size of a pencil. It is an endangered species.
