You can also travel to the Philippines by using a number of airlines for the same trip, via various connecting airports. The airlines to check are :-

British Airways
China Airways
Philippines Airways
Air France
Virgin Atlantic Airways
Swiss Airlines
Quantas
Korean Airways
All Nipon Airways
Japan Airlines

Travelling with these airlines will entail at least one other airline to complete your journey. The average journey time from Uk to Manila is approximately 16 hours with additional time at whichever connecting airport the airline you are travelling with uses.
Always check the layover time at the connecting airport before you book your flight. Although you migh be temptedt go for the cheapest flight, if you have a stopover of  6 hours and even sometimes a lot longer which will mean you either getting a room overnight or sleeping at the airport, this add significantly to the arduous journey. The result will be that it will take you a few days just to recover from your flight . I personally prefer to pay an extra£100 or so and have a better travelling experiance. Always the choice is yours. All I suggest is that you check it all out first before you buy.
